🪄From hook to post in 3 minutes (and it's actually good)

Hey Reader,

Rob built a new post-writing tool, and I can't stop playing with it.

I took the hook "Solo doesn't mean alone: how top creators actually work" and told Rob's new Autowriter tool exactly what I wanted to say in the post:

"I want to dig into the fact that even though we're 'alone' we all have to find people to support us, to learn from, to grow with, and also like VAs or freelancers if we need. The point is that the word is an oxymoron."

In 3 minutes, I had a complete post that captured my voice. The first iteration got the personal details wrong, but once I added them in, the final output only needed minor edits to make it perfect.

"But Erica, you need to think longer than 3 minutes! Good content takes time!"

I did think. I've thought for 222 days about this topic. I wrote this hook in my notes app on October 19, 2024.

I just haven't gotten around to posting it yet but believe you me I think about this all the time. I know what I want to say, and I love that a tool can help me say it faster.

But I digress.

This Autowriter is part of our new Hooked on Writing Hooks: 2025 product 🎉

Here's how the complete product works:

Step 1: Learn what actually works in 2025 via text and video lesson breakdowns of real hooks that are killing it right now (and the psychological triggers they're tapping into)

Step 2: Use our hook-writing GPTs (trained on the course principles) to brainstorm killer opening lines. Choose your favorite. Edit as needed.

Step 3: Feed that hook into our Autowriter, which takes your one-liner and transforms it into a complete post that's 80% ready to publish

Step 4: Make a few tweaks, add your personal details, and hit post

Step 5: Actually enjoy creating content instead of dreading it

The secret is in that little box in the Autowriter that says, "Anything else you want the AI to know as it writes?" That's where you tell it your actual thoughts, experiences, details, and where you want to take the post.

Because AI can't read your mind, but when you give it context about what you're really trying to say? It becomes like having a creative sparring partner who's analyzed 500+ high-performing posts. (This is exactly what it does btw.)

PS. When the friction of content creation disappears, the creativity flows. Rob and I have been posting more consistently than we have in months.

I feel like a content waterfall right now. It's insane. I'm having more fun than I've had in a while.

:)

PPS. Nick and I launched a Substack, and I've decided that from now on, the Substack = content about solopreneurship, and this newsletter = content about content.

Each week in our podcast over on Substack, we share a new framework, concept, or example of how solopreneurs are scaling from $25,000 to $50,000+ per month.

Sound interesting? Come join us on Substack and say hi.

(Also the notes feature is very fun it feels like Twitter before Twitter sucked.)

New here? I'm Erica.

Your seltzer-loving solopreneur who helps you earn more money with content that moves people to action (but doesn’t feel salesy).

Hey Reader, I've reached my "alright, F this, I gotta say something" moment. I've had enough of holier-than-thou writers claiming a monopoly on thinking. Yes, writing is a form of thinking. But you know what else is? Voice note rambling about something I’ve been thinking about in my head for long enough that I’m ready to write about it, but don’t feel like spending 3 hours grinding through the writing process.I felt like this BEFORE AI. I mean, you know editors existed before AI, right?!Trust...

Hey Reader, If you've been spiraling about "doing content right" on LinkedIn, you're playing the wrong game entirely. (It's a game, by the way.) Some people are optimizing for reach, impressions, and audience growth. Others are optimizing for inbound, starting conversations with the right people, and reputation growth. These people should not be creating the same types of content because they have wildly different goals. Different game. Different rules. Different outcomes. (Aside: Follower...

Hey Reader, I record all my calls. Client calls, sales calls, coaching calls, random catch-ups with other solos. Everything. Why? Because the best content comes from real conversations. Not from sitting at your computer trying to reverse-engineer wisdom. And what I say when I'm not trying to say anything is always better than trying to force expertise all over the place. When you force it, we can feel it When you try to manufacture an insight or force an idea, it comes across as blahhhhhh. We...
