🪄We rebuilt our entire hooks course

Today's the day🪝

Two years ago, Rob and I released Hooked on Writing Hooks to combat template-driven drivel on social.

730+ people transformed their content with our principles.

Today, we're releasing a completely rebuilt version for the 2025 landscape.

Because times are weird. What worked a few years ago doesn't anymore. And we all need a little help and a lot of hugs.

This new version has massively upgraded AI sparring partners. I've been using them all week and they're 🔥

Grab Hooked on Writing Hooks: 2025

Hey Reader,

We're living in the weirdest time for content creators.

On one hand, LinkedIn is absolutely on fire right now. Founders are landing $50k deals from a single post. Solopreneurs are booking discovery calls left and right. Marketing teams (especially founder brands) are driving serious pipeline.

And yet...

We're living in a trashdemic™️. We low-key hate scrolling our feeds because we're hit with content from bot bots, humans using too many bots, and bro bots.

If I had to pick three words to describe it, I'd choose: hyperbolic, played out, and substanceless.

It's like we're trying to have meaningful conversations at a party where half the people are drunk robots reading from the same script.

So yeah...the bar is low.

But that's a good thing, in my opinion.

Because when 90% of content sounds like it was written by the same bored AI, anything that sounds genuinely human immediately stands out.

The problem is that most people don't know how to be human anymore.

We're reverse-engineering viral posts, filling in mad libs templates, and copying hooks from people we don't even respect. Then we wonder why our content feels soul-crushing to create and gets ignored by the people we actually want to reach.

This is why Rob and I completely rebuilt our hooks course.

The trashdemic™️ has turned audiences into expert pattern-detectors who can smell formulaic BS from a mile away.

A few months ago we asked ourselves:

How do you write hooks that feel worthy of a "read more" or email open when everyone's pattern-recognition fatigue is at an all-time high?

This update is our answer.

Introducing Hooked on Writing Hooks: 2025

We didn't just update a few lessons and call it a day. We completely rebuilt this course from the ground up:

New principles for the 2025 landscape: What actually stops the scroll now that everyone's become pattern-recognition experts.

Advanced AI integration: Professional-grade bots that help you brainstorm and refine hooks without sounding like every other AI-generated post (because the secret isn't avoiding AI, it's using it strategically)

The complete post writer: Feed it your hook and it creates an entire post based on our swipe file of 500+ high-performing posts

Email subject line mastery: Because your newsletter hooks matter just as much as your social ones (we also help you with preview text and opening lines)

Recorded live editing masterclasses: Watch us tear apart and rebuild hooks in real time so you can see exactly what separates good from great. Also, learn from how we interact with the bots and tools in the course to get the best results.

I WANT TO PLAY WITH THIS RIGHT NOW →

Cheers,

Erica

PS. I know I say this any time I launch a thing with Rob, but his AI bots alone are worth the price of admission. I've been playing with them all week, and they're getting my hooks 80% of the way there. It's like having a creative sparring partner available 24/7.

PPS. This rebuild is available for 7 days only

Hey Reader, I've reached my "alright, F this, I gotta say something" moment. I've had enough of holier-than-thou writers claiming a monopoly on thinking. Yes, writing is a form of thinking. But you know what else is? Voice note rambling about something I’ve been thinking about in my head for long enough that I’m ready to write about it, but don’t feel like spending 3 hours grinding through the writing process.I felt like this BEFORE AI. I mean, you know editors existed before AI, right?!Trust...

Hey Reader, If you've been spiraling about "doing content right" on LinkedIn, you're playing the wrong game entirely. (It's a game, by the way.) Some people are optimizing for reach, impressions, and audience growth. Others are optimizing for inbound, starting conversations with the right people, and reputation growth. These people should not be creating the same types of content because they have wildly different goals. Different game. Different rules. Different outcomes. (Aside: Follower...

Hey Reader, I record all my calls. Client calls, sales calls, coaching calls, random catch-ups with other solos. Everything. Why? Because the best content comes from real conversations. Not from sitting at your computer trying to reverse-engineer wisdom. And what I say when I'm not trying to say anything is always better than trying to force expertise all over the place. When you force it, we can feel it When you try to manufacture an insight or force an idea, it comes across as blahhhhhh. We...
