Hey Reader,
Nick and I launched Full Stack Solo 3 weeks ago, and we're already making big changes.
Why?
Because that's exactly what we teach our members to do.
Conventional wisdom says, "Get it perfect first, then launch."
Well, in our experience, that puts way too much pressure on you, makes you hedge, and forces you to chase an aspirational "perfection" that doesn't exist.
Here’s what actually works:
- Build something solid
- Put it out there
- Pay attention to signals
- Adjust rapidly (keep what works, change what doesn’t)
Combined, Nick and I have worked with 100s of solos, but our launch positioning was still a hypothesis.
So the second we hit "go," the real work began.
Or, as Nick put it, we started drinking our own whiskey.
Over the past 3 weeks, we've:
- Had countless calls with our 27 founding members
- Talked to people who almost bought (but didn’t)
- Analyzed what makes some sign up instantly while others hesitate
- Mapped the patterns in feedback, questions, and objections
Our original hypothesis was that people wanted to hit $10k+ months.
While many do, it turns out $10k months aren’t THE thing that people care about.
We were tying way too much to that stupid number. We thought that might be the case, but we wanted to test it, so we launched with it anyway.
We've now narrowed the true pain/goals to these 3 buckets:
- Overwhelm by all the possible directions you can take your expertise
- Frustration with unpredictable and inconsistent revenue
- Annoyance that you’re earning $5-15k* months, but know you’re capable of more
*Some are earning $0 and others are earning $20k+, but this is the average.
This translates into:
- Every direction feels possible, so choosing one feels impossible
- Your expertise makes everything interesting, so focusing feels limiting
- You see opportunities everywhere, which makes committing to one path harder
- You know you can help tons of people, which makes it tough to narrow down who you serve
Which results in:
- Undercharging
- A confusing offer
- Scattered content creation
- Sales uncertainty
- Analysis paralysis
- Poor time management
- Unclear positioning
- Too many directions
- Inconsistent income
When we simplify all the above, we get this:
ROOT PAIN: Scattered expertise
DESIRED SOLUTION: Turn scattered expertise into a focused offer, drive traffic to it, and easily close deals.
HOW FULL STACK SOLO HELPS: Become the obvious solution to a specific problem. Attract the exact clients you want to work with. Create predictable, scalable income. Unlock the freedom to grow on your terms.
Boom.
Well, for now! This work doesn't ever end (any customer researcher will tell you that).
But it's way better and more dialed in than when we launched.
Next up: Pricing changes
Now that we've refined our positioning, it's time to tweak the pricing model.
We're doing this for two reasons:
- To increase access to the program
- To improve outcomes
So...
On January 3rd, we're raising the annual price by 4x to $3999.
And introducing a monthly option at $349/month.
We knew $999/year was low, but we believed in testing value with founding members before we ramped up.
With positive feedback rolling in...
....we're ready to increase the price and reinvest that money into making the experience even better (e.g. more coaching calls and faster feedback cycles).
So, this is your first notice:
If you join us before January 3rd, you get locked in at the $1K/year rate for life, and you get a founding member’s seat.
>>> Grab your seat now <<<
Or, book a call with us if you wanna chat about whether it's the right fit.
Cheers,
Erica
PS. This business-building stuff is hard. Even for "experts" like Nick and myself. I'm sharing the behind-the-scenes of how we're building Full Stack in the hopes that it demystifies the "success happens overnight" BS. This stuff takes time and tons of tiny experiments.
I hope this helps :)
